As a veteran myself—I served as a U.S. Navy Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division—I understand the traditions, sacrifices, and significance behind these occasions. Military Events

From retirements and promotions to formal ceremonies, receptions, conferences, and official functions, I photograph military events with an understanding of both the moments that matter and the protocol surrounding them. I work attentively without becoming part of the event, creating a complete record of the people, traditions, and details that brought everyone together.

Ceremonies

Military ceremonies are built around details, traditions, and moments that happen only once. Familiarity matters. I anticipate the sequence of events so I can be in position before the important moments happen rather than reacting after they begin.

Portraits

Whether I have a few minutes during an event or time for a dedicated portrait, I approach servicemembers as individuals rather than uniforms. I use intentional light, clear direction, and the environment to create photographs that feel polished and dignified without becoming stiff.

Military ceremonies have their own rhythm, structure, and expectations. I know when I can move, when I need to stay out of the way, and which moments are likely to matter most to the servicemembers and families involved.

Since becoming a professional photographer, I’ve continued working extensively within the military community. That experience allows me to work confidently within the structure of an event while still paying attention to the expressions, interactions, and quieter moments that make it personal.

My goal is to photograph the occasion with the respect it deserves without losing sight of the people at the center of it.

How are your photos delivered?

You can download everything directly, create favorites lists, and easily share the gallery with family, colleagues, your organization, or anyone else who needs access. If you’d like to see a sample gallery before booking, just ask—I’m happy to share one!

How soon will we receive the photos?

My standard turnaround time is 7 business days from the end of your event, but I frequently deliver much sooner—including same-day selects and expedited full galleries for many of my clients. If you have a specific deadline, I’m happy to work with it. I’d much rather underpromise and overdeliver than leave you waiting for your photographs.

What kinds of military events do you photograph?

I photograph promotions, retirements, changes of command, military balls, reunions, ceremonies, memorial events, family gatherings, and other occasions connected to military service. If you're unsure whether your event is a fit, tell me what you're planning.

How does pricing work?

I price each event based on the time, complexity, and specific requirements involved. When you reach out, share as much as you can about your event, including the date, location, duration, number of attendees, and what you’re hoping to capture. If you have a budget in mind, I encourage you to share that as well. I approach budgets honestly; knowing yours helps me find a structure that works for both of us rather than simply determining how much to charge.

Do you travel for events?

Absolutely. Military service takes people all over the country, and I’m happy to travel for it. I regularly travel for assignments throughout the United States, so if the event matters and you want me there, tell me where and when.
