I’m based in Wilmington, so photographing events in Delaware isn’t an extension of another market or a city I occasionally travel into. It’s home.

My work here ranges from corporate meetings and conferences to celebrations, nonprofit events, receptions, and private gatherings. Delaware may be a small state, but the environments vary enormously: historic hotels and estates, modern conference facilities, corporate offices, universities, museums, outdoor spaces, and everything in between.

That local familiarity is backed by more than a decade of professional event experience, including years photographing for NASA and National Geographic and assignments for organizations including the World Bank.

Delaware events often bring together executives, employees, clients, partners, and guests who may only be in the same room a few times a year. I photograph the relationships between them as carefully as the scheduled program.

That means more than photographing speakers at a podium. I’m looking for the conversations before the session begins, the handshake after a presentation, the reactions from the audience, the branded environment, and the smaller interactions that give the finished gallery context.

The goal is a set of photographs your organization can use long after the event itself is over.

Present Without Being in the Way

Good event coverage requires access, but it shouldn’t require becoming part of the event.

I move constantly when the photographs call for it, but I also know when to stay out of the way. During presentations, meetings, ceremonies, and private conversations, I work quietly and anticipate what is coming so I’m already in position rather than scrambling after the moment begins.

That balance matters. You should receive photographs that feel close to the action without remembering the photographer constantly being in it.

When the Room Is Listening

Keynotes, panels, awards, and presentations are often the most visible parts of an event, and they deserve more than a straightforward photograph from the back of the room.

I pay attention to expression, gesture, stage lighting, screens, audience reactions, and the relationship between the speaker and the space around them. When possible, I build variety into the coverage: tight portraits, wider environmental photographs, audience perspective, and images that communicate the scale of the room.

The result is speaker photography that feels deliberate rather than merely documentary.

If your team is already gathering in one place, it can also be an efficient opportunity to create updated professional headshots.

I can build a complete portrait setup at your venue with professional lighting and a consistent background, then photograph individuals efficiently around the event schedule. For large groups, sessions can take as little as 60–90 seconds per person while maintaining consistent framing, lighting, and editing.

For organizations that need both event coverage and headshots, combining the two can eliminate the logistics of scheduling a separate photography day.

Photographing Events Across Delaware

Delaware offers an unusual range of event environments within a relatively small area. Wilmington alone includes large conference facilities, historic downtown spaces, corporate offices, museums, theaters, hotels, and private venues.

I photograph events throughout the state and am comfortable adapting to everything from an executive meeting with a handful of people to a ballroom filled with hundreds of guests.

Delaware is home, but my background includes more than a decade photographing high-stakes events for organizations throughout the region and across the country.

A Higher Standard of Coverage

An agenda tells me what is scheduled. Experience tells me what is about to happen. I pay attention to the rhythm of speakers, movement in the room, important guests, audience reactions, and the transitions between scheduled moments. That allows me to anticipate photographs rather than discover them after they have already happened.

Event spaces are designed for people, not cameras. Ballrooms can be dark. Conference rooms can be flat. Mixed lighting can turn skin tones strange. Projection screens can be significantly brighter than everything around them. I bring the equipment and experience needed to solve those problems so the quality of your photographs isn't dependent on whether the venue happened to provide perfect conditions.

A technically perfect photograph isn't useful if someone looks uncomfortable or unflattering in it. I'm deliberate about expression, posture, angles, and the photographs I ultimately deliver. That applies to executives and keynote speakers, but it applies just as much to employees, guests, volunteers, and everyone else who becomes part of the story.

I photograph wide scenes that establish where the event happened, medium photographs that show relationships and activity, and tighter images that capture expression and detail. That variation matters when the photographs eventually have to work across websites, social media, presentations, press releases, annual reports, and internal communications.

I don't book assignments and then send whichever photographer happens to be available. When you book an event, I'm the photographer who shows up to cover it. If I'm unavailable, I'll tell you rather than quietly substituting another photographer and hoping you don't notice.

Hi, I’m Taylor

I've spent more than a decade photographing events in environments where moments happen once and there is rarely an opportunity to recreate them.

My background includes four years as a NASA staff photographer, more than three years photographing events for National Geographic, and assignments ranging from intimate executive meetings to major conferences, ceremonies, concerts, and national institutions.

After years of working extensively throughout Washington, D.C. and the Northeast, Wilmington is now home.

What hasn't changed is how I approach the job: understand what matters, anticipate what is coming, solve problems without creating new ones, and deliver photographs that make the people who trusted me glad they did.

I show up to every event like it's the most important thing I'll photograph all year, because for my clients, it usually is.
