Branding photography isn’t simply about making a good portrait. It’s about creating a collection of images that communicates who you are, what you do, and how you want people to experience your brand.
I’ve spent the last several years working throughout the Philadelphia area with individuals, businesses, and organizations to create photographs built around how they’ll actually be used—from websites and social media to press, marketing, advertising, and editorial work. The goal is a cohesive library of images that feels distinctly yours and gives you more than one photograph to work with.
Personal branding should feel personal. Rather than forcing you into a predetermined look, I build the photographs around you—your personality, your work, your environment, and the way you want to be seen. The result is imagery that feels professional without looking like it could belong to anyone.
Strong brand photography gives people a sense of the organization before they ever walk through the door. I photograph the people, spaces, interactions, and details that make a business recognizable, creating imagery that can work across your website, marketing, social media, press, recruiting, and internal communications.
Not every professional photograph belongs against a studio background. Environmental and lifestyle portraits use the places where you work, create, or interact with clients to give the photographs context. I use those surroundings deliberately, creating images that feel natural while still controlling the light, composition, and details that give the finished work a polished look.
I’ve spent more than a decade working with individuals, businesses, agencies, and major organizations on photographs that need to accomplish something beyond simply looking good.
That experience has taught me to think about both sides of an assignment: what makes a strong photograph and what makes that photograph useful. I pay attention to the person, environment, light, and details in front of my camera while also thinking about what the images need to communicate once they’re on a website, in a campaign, or out in the world.
